Those ions attach to dust, smoke particles, pollen, and pet dander. The particles clump together, get heavier, and cannot stay suspended in the air. They get pulled back toward your returns, which is exactly where you want them.

That is where the Air Ranger comes in. Instead of a paper filter, it is a polarized metal cage with changeable media inside. Think of it as a magnet on the other end of the system. All that ionized debris gets attracted to the media and trapped there, instead of slipping through paper and settling back into your ducts.
